The Solution: An Ultra-Rugged UHF RFID Tag
After analyzing the client’s requirements, we developed a tailored solution through several key stages:
1. Initial Design and Testing
We created the first prototypes using 3D printing and rubber materials to test shock resistance in real-world conditions. The results were highly positive, confirming the strength of the initial concept.
2. Steel Plate Production
To ensure maximum durability, we engineered 2 mm thick steel plates with a custom slot for attachment to the metal strapping used to secure the pipes. This guaranteed the tag remained firmly in place with no risk of detachment.
3. Overmolding with Thermoplastic Material
To protect the RFID chip and ensure resistance to impacts and environmental stress, we developed a mold for rubber overmolding. This process made the tag:

Easy to read with UHF RFID readers, with no interference
4. Production and Delivery
Once the resistance and functionality tests were completed, we proceeded with production and supplied the tags to the client for operational deployment.
